A two-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology conducted in association with the Indian Medical Association was launched in 2002, focusing on the theory and practice of pathology laboratory.
Admission to this course - for which there are ten seats per batch - requires a pass in class 10+2 in the PCB (physics/ chemistry/ biology) stream with a minimum of 45% marks. The age of the applicant should be minimum 17 as on November 1 of the year in which they intend to apply/join.
This two year course includes a compulsory six months internship, which has to be done within the hospital. As it is not a residential course, students need to make their own stay arrangements at Mount Abu.
The course fees per semester (three semesters) are rupees 6,000 in addition to which students need to buy their books and uniforms.
