Global Hospital Institute of OphthalmologyThe positive response to our community ophthalmology programme led to the establishment of the Global Hospital Institute of Ophthalmology in 2003.
The hospital is staffed by qualified and experienced ophthalmic surgeons supported by senior optometrists and nursing staff. It offers anterior segment microsurgeries, cataract extraction by phaco-emulsification or by small incision with posterior chamber IOL implantation, glaucoma, trauma, adnexal and vitreo-retinal surgery, contact lenses fitting and care, corneal services including eye banking and corneal transplantation, glaucoma care, laser retinal photocoagulation for diabetic retinopathy, low vision aids, Nd Yag laser services, neuro-ophthalmological care, oculoplasty and orbit services, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismology and a uveitis clinics.
In the future, we aim to position the institute as a modern tertiary eye care centre for persons living in south west Rajasthan.
